History of IMEC
In the late 1990's, a small group of horse owners in central Indiana borrowed space and time during a "full size" horse show to showw their miniature horses.  Interest in thes small equine blossomed and eventually classes were added for miniature horses to show at this open show series.

For several several seasons, miniatures particiapted in the shows, but it was a struggle to get full classes.  Finially, show attendance for the miniature classes grew.

This same small group of horse owners started the
Indiana Miniature Equine Club, also known as IMEC.
IMEC's first Charity Show was in May 2004,  IMEC is now a strong and thriving club that continues to provide shows for the miniature horse enthusiast in a fun but learning enviroment.  Class for all ages and show levels are offered.

IMEC also hosts clinics and educational seminars in order to provide the miniature horse owner with information necessary to care for this unique breed.  Whether you have a seasoned show horse or a family pet, IMEC has something for you.

IMEC is a Non-Profit Organization.
